WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!
Our goal at Montessori Community School (MCS) at Brookfield -- located in Brookfield, Connecticut - - is to provide high-quality private education, life preparation, and exceptional childcare for pre-school and Kindergarten children ages three to six years old, in Brookfield, Danbury, Ridgefield, Newtown, Bethel, New Milford, Southbury, and the surrounding communities.
Montessori at Brookfield is a not-for-profit school with an outstanding reputation since our doors first opened in 2001. Families choose our school because we are much smaller than most private schools in the area, which enables us to successfully give each child personalized attention and individual encouragement to build social and emotional development; independence; confidence; and intellect.
Our dedicated and passionate teachers are all certified in Montessori education, in addition to other extensive training, and collectively have over 35 years of experience working with young children. We also have leading childhood educators at our school who specialize in music and Spanish language instruction, including the internationally recognized “Music Together” program each week.
Children who attend Montessori Community School thrive here. We have 30 children in our school and our classrooms are multi-age (three to six). Most of our students are with us for three years. We offer a half day and full day Montessori pre-school program, and a full day Montessori Kindergarten program. Whatever age your child is, the curriculum for all levels is rich in language arts, living arts, math, science, geography, culture and more. Each day is filled with singing, dancing, creating and exploring.
If you already know about Montessori and its profound influence on early education, or if you are new to Montessori and are seeking an exceptional environment where your child will flourish in a beautiful, respectful and peaceful community atmosphere, please contact us.
We look forward to hearing from you.

"As a father of two young girls, I am over-the-top thrilled with the level of care my girls receive, the skills they learn, the manners and respect they pick up, and the passion each teacher has for her work, which rubs off on the entire community of students and parents. New to the Montessori way of education, I am a fan of its methodologies, and convinced it is a sensitive, spirited, mindful, patient and loving approach to facilitating the joy, excitement and adventure that comes with learning"

As parents of alumnus and one current student at MCS Brookfield, we have seen very directly the influence the school has had on our children's growth and development. All of a sudden, they come home and can tie their shoes or draw the letter "H" and we know it's due to their positive experience in school.
