Dear Parents/ Guardians

Our goal at the Montessori Community School at Brookfield, Inc. is to provide 3-6 year olds in the surrounding areas with the best possible beginning to their schooling careers. Our enrollment is filled each year almost exclusively by word-of-mouth, with children from Ridgefield, Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, Bethel, New Milford, New Fairfield and Southbury. Our uniquely dedicated teaching staff is all certified in Montessori education and has 25 years of cumulative experience working with young children.

Our classroom environments are prepared specifically for children between the ages of 2.9 - 6 years of age. Each child is closely monitored and allowed to progress exactly when they are academically and developmentally prepared to do so. This ensures success on the child's part which leads to positive self-esteem. Children who benefit from such great beginnings have futures that are limitless.

The Montessori Community School at Brookfield is nestled beyond the view of the road, just off Route 25 on the Brookfield, Newtown line. We have beautiful outdoor playgrounds and a lovely open field for planned activities as well as the unforeseen explorations. Our light filled classrooms overlooking the playgrounds and wooded surroundings creates the opportunity to study birds, weather, and the changing seasons, etc… Inside the classrooms the children will build their foundation using the traditional Montessori materials. We have a school library with books and videos for the children to sign-out as well as resources for the parent community. You will find the atmosphere of our school to be that of respect, kindness and peacefulness, an atmosphere in which any child will thrive.

We would love the opportunity to give you a tour of our school and tell you more about Montessori Education. If you would like to meet with us to find out if our school is right for your family, do not hesitate to give us a call. We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Carol Ingber
Head of School
"As a father of two young girls, I am over-the-top thrilled with the level of care my girls receive, the skills they learn, the manners and respect they pick up, and the passion each teacher has for her work, which rubs off on the entire community of students and parents. New to the Montessori way of education, I am a fan of its methodologies, and convinced it is a sensitive, spirited, mindful, patient and loving approach to facilitating the joy, excitement and adventure that comes with learning"

As parents of alumnus and one current student at MCS Brookfield, we have seen very directly the influence the school has had on our children's growth and development. All of a sudden, they come home and can tie their shoes or draw the letter "H" and we know it's due to their positive experience in school.

Our daughter completed the three year program here at MCS. I cried when I had to leave her the first few weeks in a new environment and I cried on her Graduation Day because she could not come back. We know the positive effect these three teachers and this environment has had on our child's life. The respect she felt at school supported the respect she receives at home from her family. We know in our hearts she is the knowledgeable, confident, decisive and enthusiastic young lady she is today, due in large part to the foundation which has been nurtured here at this school. Our daughter has launched so smoothly and successfully into the public school system. Our Montessori education has set the highest of standards for us for how a student and their parents should expect to be taught and treated in school.
